SoSo -> MoSoSo
At the 3GSM world conference in Barcelona last week a Great announcement has been made. MySpace Goes Mobile !
With about 55 millions of unique visitors a day, MySpace is said to be today the second most visited website on earth.
Social Softwares SoSO has never been so big. This site is so big now that it attracts 12% of online advertising.
This Spring - wow that is fast ! - MySpace goes mobile. Thanks to a partnership with Earthlink and SK Telecom.
This joint venture is to provide users the same features on their mobile that are today available online.
SK Telecom has already a good experience on moving their users from the desktop to the mobile phone. CyWorld is today the most popular website in korea with 14 Million registererd users and with 20% of the trafic made from mobile phones.
The move from SoSo to MoSoSo started. Soon the LBS-MOSOSO should be mainstream !

Social Softwares / Web 2.0
I’ve been thinking quite a lot on how to explain what web 2.0 is -- with simple words.
Well here is a try:
At the beginning there was no web at all.
Let’s call this Web 0
Later came Web 1.0 where users had a permission to READ information displayed on web pages
Then came Web 1.5 where users had a permission to READ and WRITE information displayed on the web pages ( I.E: blogs )
Now we have Web 2.0 where users can READ /WRITE and INTERACT ( or execute ) with each other.
Social Networking sites and the even newer Mobile Social Networking sites are other names used to describe Web 2.0 phenomenon.
If we use the metaphor of the UNIX permission settings Web 2.0 and Social Networking are rwx------ !!
